Botev Peak
Botev peak can be seen from the Northern part of Bulgaria. There are loads of rocks, grass, water basins. Botev peak is 2376 meters in height. When on the summit, one can feel the magnifisence of the peak, the nature itself. This is because the summit is a wide level meadow, and the near neighbour peaks are hidden and barely visible. The highest peak Botev (2,376 m) is perfect for hiking tours on the steep rocks and intriguing caves. One of the many attractions to tourists, mountaineers and speleologist are the picturesque National Revival towns and museum villages, offering excellent possibilities for ecotourism and other activities among the nature.

The highest peak of Stara Planina Mountain - Botev peak (2376 meters above sea level, a.s.l.) is geographically situated in the center of Bulgaria. One can see more than half of territory of the country when on the peak.
The Northern wall of the Botev peak called Severen Djendem (The Northern Hell) is the highest rocky wall in Bulgaria, used by alpine climbers in summer and winter.The Raisko praskalo (Paradise waterfall) is the highest waterfall in Bulgaria - 125m (on the Southern wall of the peak). Therefore the mountain in the region is suitable for climbing, hiking, biking, mountaineering, etc.
Despite the modest heights, however, climbing is good and the scenery is electrifying, with alpine meadows in the upper sections, conifers and beautiful forests on the slopes, and many thermal and mineral springs in the area.
