Tundja River
The Tundja River, the second biggest river in Bulgaria after the Iskar River, springs from the Kalofer Balkan and runs through the whole area. An interesting attraction is the tobacco, which grows on the northern slopes of the Sakar Mountain and spreads over some parts of the Rodope -Thracian and Tundja - Black Sea tobacco regions, and is also regarded as a local agriculture in the area surrounding the Tundja River.
The Tundja River, which is the fourth of its size with an earth embankment, flows through the district of Yambol. The North areas of Tundja valley through which the Tundja River flows and curves its way are characterized by trans-continental climate while the south parts have typical continental - Mediterranean climate.

The region of Toundja Valley is good for rural tourism, cultural and archeological sightseeing at the famous newly found excavations, and fishing in the nearby Tundja River and Koprinka Dam. Therefore the Toundja River is very suitable for fishing tourism, relaxation, hunting, and other activities. The fishing tourisms is steadily growing as a national attraction and compels many tourists with its opportunity to spend their time doing their favourite activity.
